FILTERING

Once the beer has been fully conditioned it will be filtered. During this filtering process the last remaining solids and yeast are removed, which results in a fresh clear beer. What is interesting is that filtering has not always been part of the beer-making process. In the old days, which means at the beginning of the twentieth century, beer was always served unfiltered. Currently only white beers are served unfiltered.
